Note: A typical IELTS score of 6.0 to 6.5 is generally acceptable for undergraduate programs, with some universities and programs requiring a score of 6.5 or above for postgraduate studies and undergraduate as well. These requirements can vary greatly depending on the institution and the specific program.

IELTS pattern– Simplified for You

Listening 30 minutes 4 recordings (2 social, 2 academic) with 40 questions.
Reading 60 minutes 3 passages with 40 questions (Academic or General Training versions).
Writing 60 minutes 2 tasks: Task 1 (150 words) and Task 2 (250 words).
Speaking 11–14 minutes 3 parts: Introduction, Long Turn, and Discussion.
Total Test Time 2 hours 45 mins Conducted in one sitting (except Speaking, which may be scheduled separately).
